Have you seen the Google+ Icon?

Chances are if you land on a website that’s up-to-date where the web-master does his/her best to keep things current you’d see the Google+ icon.

Compare it to the Facebook “Like Button” that lets your friends know you like a particular site or piece of online content.

If you’re signed in to your Google account you can choose to “+1” at will as long as the option is there.

So what’s the point?

Well, Imagine everyone in the world had a Google+ profile. (something Google would love).

You would have Google+ connections/circles.

You and your connections would +1 certain websites and content.

Let’s say you search for information on a particular business/product/service.

You will see search results based on what your contacts have shared and “+1′d” on Google.

A new player in the game…

Instead of just having a Google+ profile you can now have Google+ page.
